Resume (PDF)
I guess I’ll start in the beginning where I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, also known to many football fanatics as Packer country. You might think that growing up there I’d be a big cheesehead and I once was, but I’ll deny it.
My love affair with design began at a young age when I picked my favorite football team based on the color and design of their uniform. At the time it was green and luckily so was the Packer’s. My morning ritual consisted of analyzing the designs on cereal boxes while eating breakfast. I would do the same with everything from my shoes to my lunchbox.
Undoubtedly, my favorite class in grade school was art. I’d watch my mom draw and try to draw just like her. In 4th grade I discovered my classmates were willing to pay me a dollar for a drawing of their favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. I thought I had hit the jackpot and considered drawing cartoon turtles for a living. Good thing I came to my senses.
I studied graphic design in college and practiced my skills by freelancing and working part-time at an e-learning company where I had the chance to learn a great deal about designing online training using Flash. Since then I have continued to develop rich and engaging online learning courses for a global financial services company.
