If I Could Be A Kid Again

| | Comments (3)

Life was so much simpler and easier as a kid. The only thing you had to worry about was getting to school on time and finishing your homework. It was great. I always looked forward to days off from school and snow days were bonuses. I wish there were such things as snow days and recesses for adults. I'd like to advocate more public holidays in the US. When I was a kid I couldn't wait to grow up and now I don't know why I'd want to be a grown up. As a kid I could be carefree and now I've got responsibilities like paying my bills, my mortgage, my work, etc. All I had to worry about was paying my lunch when I was in grade school if I decided to buy. Being a kid you didn't need the answers because you could ask your parents or your teacher. But as an adult everyone looks at you like you should know the answers. Kids can be mean, but they were at least mean in your face and you knew where they stood. Adults can be nice to you, but mean behind your back. There were always discounts for being a kid, but who has ever heard of discounts for being an adult? If I could be a kid again, why I would I would I would.

Man, I totally agree. While I was reading your post I thought you had already posted something pertaining to this topic before...but I think it's just that I've had this same conversation with everyone!!! It's sooo true, it's a reason why I don't really want to leave the college life. I hate school but at the same time I don't want to go into the real world yet. I like the no responsibilties part. But at the same time I want to start this new chapter of my life...wow I can't believe I'm so close to the point in my life that I thought would never come! What a scary thought! Well, I think I will stop thinking about it and go to bed.

you get discounts when you're an adult--a really old adult.

Hmm, you know what's funny? I was gonna blog about something similar to this topic. Except mine would start out something like this: I can't wait until I'm out of the house and on my own. Hehe.

Yeah I know what you mean though: no worries, no responsibilities, and all play!! That sounds nice. But you know what? Now that we are young adults, we have a different kind of play. And that's why I can't wait until I get out of the house!!!!
