Something Old That's Like Something New

|

Deciding what to wear in the mornings is a pain for me. But yesterday it was like a happy surprise. With the summer-like weather, I decided to wear a v-neck t-shirt, but couldn't decide if I should wear shorts or pants. Searching through my closet I happened to find a pair of jeans tucked away in the back corner that I had probably worn once or twice before since I bought it three years ago. I tried to remember why I didn't wear it more often...perhaps the color - a faded black - no longer seemed appealing or the size four no longer fit or maybe I just forgot they existed. Whatever the case I slipped into them and was happy to discover they fit well without feeling very tight at all. It was nice to think that my pilates training had something to do with it. But still I needed to look at how they fit in the mirror. The color seemed fine, they didn't shrink and they fit. Awesome! It was like a new pair of jeans had magically appeared in my closet. I don't remember why I haven't worn them more often. Maybe I had forgotten they existed or it could have been all three reasons - they got too tight, the faded-black lost its appeal therefore they got pushed to the back of the closet and was forgotten. Whatever the case it was a happy find.
