The Art of Sleeping
As I was getting ready for work this morning a thought crossed my mind. Why don't I ever sleep in the middle of my bed? I always sleep on the left side. For most of my life I've always slept on the left, but it's usually closest to the door, which leads to the bathroom. It might seem funny that I never thought of this before after all these years. I guess it's just habit and I don't even think twice about it. But the more I thought about it, the more it seemed strange that I didn't sleep in the center of my queen size bed. With all that room, why do I limit my sleeping space? So tonight I will sleep in the center of my bed and maybe, just maybe I will wake up more refreshed!

I think you're onto something here...
Hi Michelle! Can you believe that both Sherry and Valerie like to sleep in the middle of the bed and I'm on the edge almost about to fall off, especially when Valerie sleeps in a horizontal position!
So after having some trouble falling asleep last night i decided to try sleeping in the middle of the bed. I can't say my sleeping experience completely changed...i did find myself still drifting to the left side of the bed. Not sure why, I think it's something about being able to dangle my arm off the side of the bed or something.
Oh and something else about sleeping on one side of the bed vs. sleeping in the middle is that you only mess up the sheets/blankets on the side of the bed you sleep on, less work to make the bed in the morning! You know how i am about conserving my energy! :)
Yeah, that experiment only lasted about a week for me. I didn't find it improved my sleep and it was more work making up my bed. Plus you're closer to the clock if you sleep next to it so you can turn it off right away.
