Top 10 Favorite Things to Do in Chicago
Having been asked a few times of what the best things to see and do in Chicago are from people not familiar with the Windy City, I've come up with a list of my personal favorites in no particular order.
- Millenium Park - The fact that this park has a giant steel bean sculpture is reason enough to check out this cool place to hangout. Not to mention that right next to it is two video walls encased in glass blocks projecting faces of random people that occasionally shoot water out of their mouths.
- MCA - Contemporary art is not everyone's cup of tea, but it's one of my favorites. Not all of it is good, but you have to sift through the junk to find the treasure and when you do it's worth it.
- Ravinia - This outdoor music festival is the best way to enjoy the company of others, classical music and a picnic under the starry night by candlelight.
- Michigan Avenue - There's a reason why they call it the "Magnificent Mile."
- Architectural boat tour - Whether you're an architecture aficionado or not, this boat tour is a great way to see the beauty of the city's buildings and amazing residences near the water that'll make you envious.
- Joy Yee's Bubble Tea - Best in Chicago hands down.
- Art Institute of Chicago - You can easily spend the whole day here viewing great works of art like Monet, Picasso and Seurat.
- Arlington Race Track - You'll easily get drawn into the excitement of the horse race even if you're not a gambler.
- Eating -Eat your way through the number of different neighborhoods around Chicago and you'll have tried all the cuisines around the world.
- Chicago lakefront - What better way to enjoy the city's skyline and lakefront views especially on a nice sunny day than to stroll/bike/rollerblade this stretch of Lakeshore Drive.
