Dear FutureMe
I came across this site called FutureMe.org and basically it's a site that allows you to write emails to yourself that you can schedule to be emailed to you at a future date. It's a neat concept. Well, I started reading what others wrote and decided to try it out. Here's a note to myself five years from now.
Dear FutureMe,
Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, I hope you are enjoying the journey. Life's short. Don't waste time deciding what to do. If you're not happy at this moment then do something about it. But if you are happy, then you are on the right track. Do everything in your power to stay that way. And don't take life so seriously. It's necessary to have a good laugh every now and then. Mistakes happen, but we learn and grow from them.
I'm not going to pretend that I have it all figured out or that you will by the time you read this, but I do hope that you'll have it more together than me. More importantly, I hope you don't have any regrets. And if you do have any, then I hope you've learned from them.
Remember to enjoy the little moments in life as much as the big ones. Live in the present. Stop dreaming and start living. And if you're struggling, don't give up. You'll get there.
P.S. If 70s fashion is back in, stay away from bell bottoms. If the 80s are in then stay away from skinny jeans. Trust me!
Yours truly,
PresentMe
