Last month I took a trip to San Francisco to visit relatives in the area. It had been a few years since my last visit. The first time was in 2003 and the city had left a lasting impression on me. Everything from the steep rolling hills to the laid-back atmosphere made me think how great it would be to live there. I still remember a conversation I had with an older gentlemen on the Bart about how it was my first time in the city. With a wry smile, he said I would hate it.
Although I hadn’t been to many places yet, it had become one of my favorite cities in the world by the end of the trip. After a couple more visits and more than a decade later, it still is one of my favorites. Just take a stroll anywhere in San Francisco and you’ll see delicately landscaped streets with every bush, tree, and flower in perfect harmony. Below are some of the beautiful landscaping that I encountered on my walks through the streets of San Francisco.

How can anyone be down while walking the streets of San Francisco when they see this?

A nice splash of vibrant color to brighten the day.

A nice haircut to go with those branches.

Even bushes can have personality.

This beautiful green tree makes this McDonald’s look inviting.

I believe this variety is the New Zealand Christmas Tree, aptly named for bringing Christmas joy during the summer months.
