Vancouver Zombie Walk
Last weekend I decided to check out the Vancouver Zombie Walk. What a gruesome sight! With so many zombies streaming through downtown, it seemed as though Vancouver was under attack. Imagine, you’re enjoying a nice and sunny Saturday afternoon at the beach when suddenly hordes of zombies appear full of blood, guts and gore. If you didn’t know this was an annual event for folks to put on their best zombie face, you might just run and scream for your life.

Celebration of Light
The Celebration of Light kicked off on Saturday in Vancouver with China’s display of fireworks. The first time I watched the fireworks show was four years ago and I was pretty certain that it would be the last time unless I knew a friend who lived in a high rise with a great view near the area.
If you don’t mind the crowds and the gridlock afterwards, then it’s worth watching. This time around I really wanted to photograph the fireworks with my dslr camera. I decided to take them from a bridge where I could get a good vantage point. Even though I got there an hour early, there were already quite a number of folks waiting on the bridge. Luckily, I still found a good spot to plop down my tripod and take some shots.
